Yelahanka Lake: How To Reach, Best Time & Tips

Yelahanka is one of the largest lakes in the Bangalore North zone. It has two inlets, one outlet, a wetland and an island. The Puttenahalli and Herohalli lakes are connected to it upstream, and the Jakkur lake is located downstream. It is situated in the Nagawara Hebbal Valley.

 

Savor some uninterrupted "me time," go for a walk in the morning and the evening, go picnicking or go boating. The lake is surrounded by numerous tourist destinations, parks, gardens, retail malls, cafes, restaurants, and bars. You are in for a beautiful view and a peaceful place!

The best time to visit Yelahanka Lake is during or post-monsoon as the lake starts to flow to its fullest that is the month of October till March. If you are planning to visit the falls during the summers, the heat can be too much to bear. During the dry summer days, one would not be able to embrace the real beauty of this place. The Lake is open 24hrs a day but it is advisable not to visit the place at night. Since it would be dark, you may not be able to find the path. There is no entry fee but you may have to pay for the parking charges. You can get to Yelahanka lake by Bus, Train or Metro.
