Dwarkadhish Temple

Dwarkadheesh Temple is considered as one of the most important temples in India. According to mythology, the temple was built by Vajranabh, the great grandson of Lord Krishna. The temple has a five storey structure with two entrances which is entirely built with soft limestone. The temple is believed to be about 2,000 years old.

Dwarka Beach

Located close to the main temple of the town, this beautiful beach attracts a large number of tourists and locals. At times during the low tide, dolphins leap out in the sea to the leave the visitors amazed. A large number of birds and other common sea creatures are common inhabitants of the beach.

Nageshwar Jyotilingara Temple

The temple is located in the suburbs of the city. According to mythology, this temple was the place where Lord Shiva stayed after killing a demon named daruka. During shivaratri, the temple gets crowded with a large number of devotees. Every year thousands of tourists visit the temple and offer prayers to the God.


It is situated behind the Dwarikadheesh temple and thousands of devotees come to take a holy dip at the ghat. It is believed that the you should bath in the water as it purifies the soul. On the bank of the ghat, there are several shrines dedicated to Goddess Sarasvati, Goddess Lakshmi, and Samudra Dev (God of the Sea).

Bhadkeshwara Temple

Chandra- Mouliswar Shiva is the reigning deity of this temple. It has 1,200 Shaligram stones, 1,300 Shiva Lingas, and metal forms of 75 Shankaracharyas. The temple is surrounded by water during high tide, but when the water level goes normal you can easily visit the temple. Thousands of devotees visit the temple during Mahashivratri.
